Make a commitment to personal growth and spiritual learning by joining one of our Science of Mind (SOM®) courses. The basic principles we study are profound and the classroom is where we experience the practical application of principle. The process of regular class attendance is how we begin to embody a true change in our consciousness. In classes you will find a new perspective — in a timeless message that is totally relevant for today. The support of shared insights and the opportunity to ask questions in a classroom setting offer a learning environment not easily duplicated with solitary study. The discipline of regular attendance and the weekly readings create a framework for asking the big questions about life and our place in it.

Series 100
SOM® 103 ~ Building a Healing Consciousness
Join Rev. Bob Luckin for eight weeks on Tuesdays, beginning January 31, 2011, from 7:00 to 9:30 PM, in the Sanctuary, for SOM® 103 ~ Building a Healing Consciousness. In Building a Healing Consciousness, students deepen their understanding of effective spiritual mind treatment, and develop a greater understanding of the nature of the creative process in the individual. The student will begin building a healing consciousness through their affirmative prayer work. SOM® 100 is being offered on a love offering basis AFTER each student pays a required $10 fee. Anyone interested in being a registrar for any SOM® 100 or 200 class needs to contact the instructor of that class directly. Once a registrar has been chosen by the instructor, that person then needs to contact the office at 221-4841 to receive training on paperwork and in the bookstore.

SOM® 207 ~ Troward’s Edinburgh Lectures
Join Rev. Judith Churchman for eight weeks on Thursdays, beginning February 23, 2012, from 2:30 to 5:00 PM, in the Social Hall, for SOM® 207 ~ Troward’s Edinburgh Lectures. Based on the classic lecture series, Troward’s Edinburgh Lectures have inspired nearly every other early New Thought writer. Judge Thomas Troward delivered them in Scotland in 1908 and they have served as the touchstone for metaphysical thinking to this day. Troward’s mind is logical, brilliant and extremely precise. This class is excellent for the serious student of New Thought. This class is required for first Practitioner licensing. Download the flyer.

SOM® 231 ~ Essential Emma Curtis Hopkins
Join Rev. Sue MillerBorn for eight weeks on Wednesdays, beginning March 14, 2012, from 7:00 to 9:30 PM, in the Sanctuary, for SOM® 231 ~ Essential Emma Curtis Hopkins. Emma Curtis Hopkins’ course is designed to move the committed student from “zero to healer” in twelve lessons. The class fee for SOM® 200 is $110.

SOM® 300 ~ The Practitioner’s Practicum
Students new to SOM® 300 will join Rev. Mary Mitchell for thirty-two weeks on Wednesdays, beginning September 14, 2011, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, in the Social Hall.
SOM® 300 is designed for the serious student of Religious Science. It is intended to deepen the student's practice and understanding of affirmative prayer and our power to co-create our world.
