9:30 AM to 12:00 Noon, in the Social Hall
$135 per Person—Limited to 8 Students
This six-week session requires completion of at least one previous session with the instructor, or some watercolor experience (requiring approval by instructor). Session V is the culmination of a year-long introduction to watercolor painting. The curriculum is a continuation of developing basic skills, and includes demonstrations, study, practice, and personal assistance. A review and deeper conceptual understanding of brush work, water control, color and pigments, value gradation, application (mingling and glazing), contrast and perspective and introduction to composition will be included. Emphasis will be placed on painting the various elements of landscape. The five essentials of the ancient philosophical framework of the Tao Te Ching for living a creative life: centering, intention, playfulness, balance, harmony and flow, along with inspiration from other artists, will guide us on this creative journey. Pre-registration is required. For additional information, contact the instructor at email@example.com or at 530-691-9115. Download the flyer.
