UPDATE FROM CENTER FOR SPIRITUAL LIVING, REDDING
Closed Until Further Notice
That might be an unsettling subject line, but we are dealing with a serious mess. Since the flooding on December 21, many have rallied to come together for the clean-up. We have been working with our insurance agent and things are progressing. However, as we try to dry out in the Sanctuary, bookstore, and offices, it has disrupted the spaces with piles of items moved around to get to the areas of concern. There is also the musty smell of wet carpets that is very off putting.
As the storms clear, there will be a call from our landscape team to repair our land. The raging creek water created some major ruts in our walking paths, causing a powerful reshaping of our beautiful property.
Many of you have stepped up to help manage the soaked areas and we have so many calls and messages from others asking how to help. There will be a time when we will reach out and ask if you are ready to help when the time is right. Thank you from the heart of the Center for all your prayers of concern and respect for the Center.
Closing the Center for services is painful to do. Yet I am confident we will get through this and together the many hands that answer the call will rebuild the foundation of flooring we have grown to appreciate all these years.
May your holidays be touched with such moments of deep gratitude and love for belonging to a spiritual community that cares and loves so deeply. This, too, shall pass and our love grows stronger.
Blessings of gratitude.
Love,
Rev. Sue
