$140 per Person in Advance or $25 per Person per Class Meeting
Minimum of 4 Students—Maximum of 10 Students

This session requires basic knowledge of watercolor technique. The whole living Earth is sacred. We visit certain places upon the Earth because we feel called to be there, drawn to sit with the murmuring lakes and streams, hear the mysterious whispers of the forest groves, view the exhilarating wonder of mountain peaks or the purity of desert solitude with the expansiveness of mesa and stone risings. We identify with a particular place at a given time because we correspond to a quality of the heart energy of the place—a sort of resonance occurs. In this six-week class, we will explore inwardly the places of our deep connection through a selection of landscape photographs. Acknowledging our preferences, we will render our responses in watercolor paintings. Students are encouraged to bring their own photographs and reference materials will be provided. Students are also encouraged to meditate upon and visit, when possible, their own Earth temples—landscape structures they are sensitive to—places where a particular quality of tenderness, inspiration and protection entered her/his heart. Inspirational guidance is provided by the philosophical framework of the Tao Te Ching, The Sacred Landscape and from others sharing their creative journey. Early registration is recommended. 9:00 to 11:30 AM, in the Social Hall
$105 per Person by Noon on Sunday, August 11th; $125 per Person Thereafter
+ Optional $20 Class Certificate Fee

This course presents the key concepts of The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra, M.D., and provides tools to assist in understanding our true nature in relationship to these laws. Dr. Chopra describes success as “the continued expansion of happiness” as well as “the ability to fulfill your desires with effortless ease.” In this 8-week class, we will explore what success means to us as we accept the abundant flow of all good things, including the creation of wealth, good health, energy and enthusiasm for life, fulfilling relationships, creative freedom, emotional and psychological stability, a sense of well-being and peace of mind. With the knowledge and practice of Spiritual Law, we put ourselves in harmony with Nature and “create with carefreeness, joy and love.” And, most importantly, we nurture the “seeds of divinity” inside us. As Deepak states, “True success is, therefore, the experience of the miraculous. It is the unfolding of the divinity within us.” Contact Robin at 529-3357 or rbackstr545@gmail.com for more information. Download the flyer.

FRANKENSTEIN
At Riverfront Playhouse
Sunday, September 22nd

$20 per Person

By special arrangement with Lighthouse Plays, this production is based on the novel by Mary Shelly and adapted by Andrew Biliter. When a team of arctic voyagers rescue a ragged, half-starved man wandering the ice floes, they bear witness to a horrific tale of human prejudice and science gone awry. Enter the life of Victor Frankenstein, a promising young scientist whose reckless experiments set in motion a terrible series of events—for Victor, his family, and his hideous, unloved creation. Forget the campy Hollywood version: this uncommonly faithful adaptation resurrects the fragile innocence and lurking terror of Mary Shelley’s original novel, preserving much of her prose as well. If you would be willing to bring finger foods to share, it would be greatly appreciated! Download the flyer.

“To hold one’s thought steadfastly to the constructive, to that which endures, and to the Truth, may not be easy in a rapidly changing world, but to the one who makes the attempt much is guaranteed.” --Ernest Holmes

Many of you have invested a lot of time and study in the philosophy of this teaching. Some of you may wonder what this teaching is all about. The intention of this six-week summer session is to apply the teaching in the major areas of your life experiences. This class is designed to see how you are mastering the principles and how to develop a deeper appreciation of the power of affirmative prayer. It Is About You—Living Fully, Living Free Through the Creative Power of Your Thought by Kathy Juline summarizes the basic spiritual tools in a workbook format that is focused on “...using the power for good.” If you are interested in the course and want to ask about special considerations, talk to Rev.
