Astrology Class
With Sandra Jennings
Third Friday of the month for 6 months
Beginning Friday, February 15th
7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Social Hall
Cost $30 per Class Meeting

Your Birth Chart is your handbook, your owner’s manual, describing the possibilities you chose while in the Spirit prior to your present incarnation. It is literally your Sacred Contract with yourself. In a series of 6 classes, I’ll share all the details of your birth chart, explain its elements and how they apply to your life.  By the end of the series, you’ll be able to read your chart and will have received a complete Birth Chart interpretation. Printed material accompanies each class. I need your correct birth date, place and time, prior to class to provide your chart and prepare your individual reading for EACH CLASS.  No book purchase is necessary, but I will have a notebook that includes an index of terms for a suggested price of $15.

Sandra teaches at Brahma Shanti Yoga and via video conferences. She has been a practicing Astrologer for 50 years with teaching and readings at: Celestine Center, Frisbie Mansion, McCormick Mansion, Helen’s Closet Boutique, Urban Refuge Day Spa, House of Conscious Living Yoga and Center for Spiritual Living, Redding. $105 by Sunday, May 19th; $125 Thereafter + Optional $20 Certificate Fee

Spiritual fitness is a lifestyle and an attitude that can help you rediscover the real meaning and sacredness of your life. Like physical fitness, it is not a one-time experience - it needs your ongoing commitment. To stay spiritually fit means living in truth and trust, i.e., being yourself at the deepest level in everything you do and bringing all of you to your life experiences. It also means trusting that there is a greater power constantly guiding you and inviting you, through your life experiences, to live more openly and lovingly. When we trust, we start to make our choices and decisions from a place of love and courage instead of from fear. This in turn gives us clarity and strength. This class is 8 weeks long. Many of you have invested a lot of time and study in the philosophy of this teaching. Some of you may wonder what this teaching is all about. The intention of this six-week summer session is to apply the teaching in the major areas of your life experiences. This class is designed to see how you are mastering the principles and how to develop a deeper appreciation of the power of affirmative prayer. It Is About You—Living Fully, Living Free Through the Creative Power of Your Thought by Kathy Juline summarizes the basic spiritual tools in a workbook format that is focused on “...using the power for good.” If you are interested in the course and want to ask about special considerations, talk to Rev. PLEASE NOTE: This training is now full!

It is the Safety Team’s mission to keep the Center safe in every way, which includes preparing for possible emergencies. We are very enthusiastic to bring CPR and AED (Automatic Electric Defibrillator) training to the leadership team and the congregation at large. We will be offering the first class to frontline responders, such as ministers and practitioners, office staff, children’s church teachers, landscape team, audio/video team and kitchen kookies team. The 4-hour CPR/AED class will include CPR training on an adult mannequin and a child mannequin. This CPR training will include a certificate of training, a CD, a book and an app for your phone. You will also be trained on the Center’s actual AED equipment. This training is important to us all. We negotiated a cost lower than offered to the public for the same training. Because we feel it is vital for the Center’s first responders to complete this training, we hope that we can offer a few scholarships, which could be funded by attendees generously increasing the amount they pay to register by $5 or $10 to help us support those who cannot afford even this low cost. Thank you for your generosity. Download the flyer.

$140 per Person in Advance or $25 per Person per Class Meeting
Minimum of 4 Students—Maximum of 10 Students

This session requires basic knowledge of watercolor technique. The whole living Earth is sacred. We visit certain places upon the Earth because we feel called to be there, drawn to sit with the murmuring lakes and streams, hear the mysterious whispers of the forest groves, view the exhilarating wonder of mountain peaks or the purity of desert solitude with the expansiveness of mesa and stone risings. We identify with a particular place at a given time because we correspond to a quality of the heart energy of the place—a sort of resonance occurs. In this six-week class, we will explore inwardly the places of our deep connection through a selection of landscape photographs. Acknowledging our preferences, we will render our responses in watercolor paintings. Students are encouraged to bring their own photographs and reference materials will be provided. Students are also encouraged to meditate upon and visit, when possible, their own Earth temples—landscape structures they are sensitive to—places where a particular quality of tenderness, inspiration and protection entered her/his heart. Inspirational guidance is provided by the philosophical framework of the Tao Te Ching, The Sacred Landscape and from others sharing their creative journey. Early registration is recommended. Sunday Services with Rev. Karen Drucker and Gary Lynn Floyd
“Shine Your Light – Heal the World”
June 30, 2019
9:00 and 10:30 AM

Karen’s message will be based on a wonderful Marianne Williamson quote where she says, “It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’” Actually, who are you not to be? The truth is we need your light. The world needs your gifts, your humor, your perceptive, your love and your passion. Karen recognizes that she is being selfish - her motivation is that she wants you to shine your light because it also gives her the permission to shine her, and she truly believes that is what this world needs right now, to be healed and for us to come together in peace. In her talk, we will look at how we can practice self-care, loving kindness and compassion to shine our lights, and in so doing, heal the world. Download the flyer.

Gary Lynn Floyd is an American singer-songwriter who connects straight to the heart and lifts up a room with his inspirational lyrics and soulful style. He has a unique ability to tune into truth and translate it into music. A native of Houston, Gary began picking out melodies on a piano at four years old, and he’s been making music ever since. Today, he writes and records deep and meaningful music, and shares these songs like a gift to audiences across the country. His style is a mix of pop, rhythm and blues, combining silky vocals with powerful lyrics. It is Gary’s openness to divine inspiration that fuels his endless supply of musical ideas, creates his heart-opening lyrics and is the light that shines through his performances. With his piano and microphone, Gary is a catalyst for positive change and raises the collective vibration not only through his music but also through his welcoming presence on stage.
