Astrology Class
With Sandra Jennings
Third Friday of the month for 6 months
Beginning Friday, February 15th
7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Social Hall
Cost $30 per Class Meeting

Your Birth Chart is your handbook, your owner’s manual, describing the possibilities you chose while in the Spirit prior to your present incarnation. It is literally your Sacred Contract with yourself. In a series of 6 classes, I’ll share all the details of your birth chart, explain its elements and how they apply to your life.  By the end of the series, you’ll be able to read your chart and will have received a complete Birth Chart interpretation. Printed material accompanies each class. I need your correct birth date, place and time, prior to class to provide your chart and prepare your individual reading for EACH CLASS.  No book purchase is necessary, but I will have a notebook that includes an index of terms for a suggested price of $15.

THE POWER OF YOUR WORD
Certificated Science of Mind® Class: Consciousness Coursework
With Diana Johnson, RScP
Fridays, March 22nd to May 31st
11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, in the Sanctuary
$135 in Advance by Noon on March 10th; $155 Thereafter + Optional $45 Class Certificate Fee

Words (whether as thoughts or verbal expressions) are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to honor, to humble, to hinder, to harm, to humiliate, etc.

Join Diana Johnson on a journey of discovery, a journey that will sharpen the awareness of the language we use and the impact it has on our experience. The group will discuss various religious traditions regarding God and prayer; learn about Creative Law and how it acts on our word to create answers to our prayers; talk about the importance and value of affirmations; discuss ways to make our prayers more effective through clear thinking and conviction of truth; and discuss living from a life-affirming consciousness, building a spiritual practice to empower and strengthen belief and conviction in Reality (God is all there is).

Please call Diana Johnson at 530-356-1227,or email her at barefootangel1@gmail.com for more information. Download the flyer.

With Twila Cooley, RScP

4:00 to 6:30 PM, in the Social Hall
$80 per Person in Advance or $10 per Person per Class Meeting

Michael Newton, PhD, in his book, Journey of Souls, takes us into the time between death and rebirth. He assists clients into their super consciousness state and, when in this altered state, to relate what the Soul life is like on the other side of the veil. He calls himself a spiritual regressionist, a therapist specializing in uncovering what it is like in the spiritual world after the experience we call death. He allows his clients to go to their super conscious level, where they relate back to him, and to us, what it is like in that space between death and the next life. In between the interviews, Michael writes about spirituality that is so profound and he puts these thoughts in an understandable and relatable way. He conveys complex ideas simply. This after life, which we will be investigating, is all a part of our spiritual journey where we are able to open more and more to the truth of ourselves as Soul and to the truth of the Creator. Dale Carnegie said, “Any fool can criticize, complain and condemn—most fools do, but it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving.” The topic of forgiveness is rich with spiritual possibilities. If any discord in our life experiences has had our attention, kept us awake at night, is there a part of you still holding on and wanting to be “heard?” Did you come to any final conclusion? The “what ifs” on our way through any conflict can imprint a sense of doubt and sorrow upon our soul. Join us for this necessary conversation on forgiveness as we think about the people we once loved and from whom we have become distant because of some issue that was left unresolved. Spiritual fitness is a lifestyle and an attitude that can help you rediscover the real meaning and sacredness of your life. Like physical fitness, it is not a one-time experience - it needs your ongoing commitment. To stay spiritually fit means living in truth and trust, i.e., being yourself at the deepest level in everything you do and bringing all of you to your life experiences. It also means trusting that there is a greater power constantly guiding you and inviting you, through your life experiences, to live more openly and lovingly. When we trust, we start to make our choices and decisions from a place of love and courage instead of from fear. This in turn gives us clarity and strength. This class is 8 weeks long. LIVING WHILE DYING
An Intimate, Personal Documentary Film by Cathy Zheutlin
Saturday, June 22, 2019
7:00 PM, in the Sanctuary
Suggested $10 Donation

Everything You Wanted to Know About Conscious Dying and Were Afraid to Ask

As a baby boomer, Cathy became curious about death, and decided to pick up her camera and film four friends with terminal illnesses who chose to live out their days in hospice-care at home. Along the way, she sought the advice of an aboriginal elder and a deathwalker in Australia, witnessed a mass cremation in Bali, and asked her 90-year old mother to sit in a coffin while they discussed her end-of-life wishes. Are we, without noticing, reinventing death? Don, Cathy’s tango partner, said “Cathy, dying doesn’t have to be sad,” and then took medication from Oregon Death with Dignity.  She bounces between fears, awareness and denial.  Yet death is ever-present.  Though random, it’s certain: soon her parents will die.  She doesn’t want to lose them. Death will take them differently.  Her dad, 90, a medical doctor, will use every medical means within reason to stay alive (she thinks…she doesn’t know because he doesn't like to talk about it), while her mom, also 90, is so comfortable she discusses death as if planning a picnic. How do we prepare? Is it possible to die well? Download the flyer.
