MINISTER’S MESSAGE
In Living Color
“Owning our way and loving ourselves through is the bravest thing we will ever do.” ~~ Brené Brown
This month we meet our heart of Understanding our way of meeting the needs and feelings of others that have something wise and true to teach us. Perhaps they are the ones we pass by because we are uncomfortable with our lack of understanding. They are the ones often referred to as the “marginalized people.” But no one should feel they are cast away into such a “category.” I remember when I travelled to India and witnessed the caste system. The “untouchables” was the term others described them as. I was told that it was their destiny to remain in the caste they were born into ... so the story goes. A fellow traveler commented that they were glad the United States didn’t have such a class system. I was paused in reflection and replied, “We might have something worse.” It seems humanity and sociology have labelled these separations and categories to define social structure.
We stay true to the CSL Global Vision that says: “We see a world in which each and every person lives in alignment with their highest spiritual principle, emphasizing unity with God and connection with each other; a world in which individually and collectively we are called to a higher state of consciousness and action. We envision humanity awakening to its spiritual magnificence and discovering the creative power of thought; a world where each and every person discovers their own personal power and ability to create an individual life that works within a world that works for everyone.”
We explore our way together to empower our understanding and acceptance of all beings and face off the unfortunate consciousness of exclusion. Let us truly celebrate unity and diversity and our unique sense belonging. We each have the right to be here and experience life in full color.
Blessing our way is love and respect.
