MINISTER’S MESSAGE
Being Heard!
This month we take a careful look at many areas in life that cause us to pull back and stifle our voice. It is our human nature to react to that which causes us distress. It is our spiritual nature that drives us to rise above and know our ‘Self’ in the midst of it all. Self-advocacy and knowing our boundaries are important to our personal and collective well-being. We have a right to be seen, to be heard, and to be here. Sometimes, when that is challenged, we tend to withdraw. Yet, inside of our hearts, we long for reconciliation and inner peace in every relationship, however that shows up. Our personal empowerment through self-reflection and application of spiritual principles transforms conflicts within ourselves and with others. Just tuning into the concept of kindness can soften our hearts. Ultimately, we are longing for Love to lead the way. Healthy connections to family, friends, or ‘other’ asks us to face the barriers and liberate our resistance for the greater good of all. Join us on the self-discovery through the messages and music this month to find the healthy and Spirit led way to “raise your voice”. Together, we grow stronger.
This month also starts off with two very important FUNdraisers for our Center! The “Redding Holistic Healing and Spiritual Arts Fair” on Saturday, May 3, will bring many lovely people from the greater Redding community to our Center. We are excited to host the event under the guidance of Akaysha Avila-Beech and Dawn Michaela! We are eager to meet the vendors and discover through a selection of artists/healers in small break-out sessions, a more in depth understanding of their art and healing modalities. $5.00 entrance fee is all. So much joy and discovery are waiting for us. Christy Carr, RScP, and friends are hosting the Chili Cook-Off on that same day to provide a fun event for all to participate in. Contact Christy at (530) 561-0925 if you can help out and serve or want to submit your favorite Chili to be considered as the prize recipe of the day. $7.00 is the cost to enjoy the lunch during the Spiritual Arts Fair.
Join us…we are here for you.
With Love,
Rev. Sue MillerBorn
